County Buses For Students

The Hawaii State Department of Education has launched a pilot program providing free county bus passes for high school students.  Officials say the EXPRESS program, or Expanding Ridership to Educate Students in Schools, is a response to the national school bus driver shortage.  The goal is to increase ridership among high school students on county bus services so underused buses can be reassigned.  Monday was the first day students could sign up online.  Visit iportal.k12.hi.us/express for more information.
