There’s a new luxury resort open for business on the north shore of Kauai. 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay is built on the property of the former St. Regis Princeville Resort, with rates starting at about 12 hundred dollars per night. A penthouse goes for about 20 thousand a night. The new property is the latest in a series of sites planned throughout the North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Opening-day festivities took place on Wednesday.
