An arraignment for a man charged with strangling a dog to death was postponed and rescheduled for the fourth time this week. 47-year-old Jason Mearns appeared via Zoom from the O’ahu Community Correctional Center for his arraignment and plea for the incident which also reportedly included him assaulting the pet’s owner outside of their home. Mearns said Wednesday he has been unable to talk to his attorney. His next court date is scheduled for April 9th at 9:30 am.
