The Kauai Police Department reports a 56-year-old woman from California has died after being pulled from the waters off Koloa Landing on Saturday.

Kauai officials say she was swimming in the water before she was found unresponsive. By-standers performed CPR until medics arrived.

The woman died at Wilcox, an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
