DOH extends No Burn period through November 18

The National Weather Service has extended a Red Flag Warning for the leeward areas of Kaua‘i County through 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. The Kaua‘i Fire Department urges the public to remain vigilant to prevent fires.

The warning may be extended, dropped, or modified as conditions develop.

In addition, the Department of Health has extended the “NO BURN” period for Kauai County until 12 Noon, Monday, November 18, 2024.

This declaration prohibits any open burning, including all permitted agricultural burning.
