July was drier on Kauai according to monthly rainfall summary. The National Weather Service in Honolulu reports the totals were in the range of 40 to 70 percent of the average. The largest rain event for the state of Hawaii last month was remnant moisture of former Tropical Cyclone Bonnie moving across the islands on July 12th and 13th.
