A man died Friday after being pulled from the waters off ‘Anini Beach. The victim was identified as 70-year-old David Kositsky, who was visiting from Washington. First responders were dispatched to the beach for a swimmer in distress around noon Friday. Officials say Kositsky had been snorkeling when his friends were unable to locate him. A lifeguard found him unresponsive and brought him to shore where CPR was administered until medics arrived. Kositsky was pronounced dead at the hospital. The exact cause of death is under investigation and foul play is not suspected.
