Authorities arrested and charged two Kailua-Kona residents after two suspected fentanyl overdoses at the Hawaii Community Correctional Center in Hilo, resulting in one death. 41-year-old Izaiah Shields, and his 37-year-old girlfriend, Moriah Goulette, were arrested in late December and incarcerated over possession of suspected Fentanyl at Kona International Airport. Last Thursday patrol officers responded to the jail after a report of two unresponsive inmates.
