HANAPĒPĒ – The County of Kaua‘i held a blessing on Friday, October 30, to mark the nearing completion of the Hanapēpē Baseyard renovation project, which will provide improved workspaces and enhanced safety and security for Department of Public Works, Roads Division staff.
The Hanapēpē Baseyard serves as a critical hub for County field operations on the South and West sides of Kaua‘i, supporting essential services such as road maintenance, park upkeep, and levee work. The facility plays an important role in helping County crews maintain public infrastructure and respond to emergencies. The renovation project, totaling approximately $1.1 million, focused on modernizing the baseyard to provide a safer, more functional workspace for County crews.
