Kauai police say a Koloa man wanted in connection with an assault on a police officer has turned himself in. Police say Travis Bonachita was taken into custody about midnight Saturday. He was arrested for first-degree attempted assault and first-degree criminal property damage among other charges, and is facing a 45-thousand-dollar bail. Bonachita was wanted in connection with an incident early Friday. The officer was treated and released with minor injuries.
