Kauai firefighters put out a brush fire in Kekaha on Monday. Crews responded shortly after 6 pm near Koke’e Road. They were joined by fire crews from Hanapepe and Waimea stations. It took about an hour and a half for the scene to be cleared and there is no word yet on the cause of the blaze. Kauai police are urging the public to remain vigilant and call 9-1-1 if they witness a fire or have any emergencies.
