Christmas trees are being accepted for recycling at the green waste drop-off areas at refuse transfer stations in Kauai and at the Kekaha Landfill. These sites are open from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm and 8 to 4 respectively, every day except on holidays. There’s also a drop-off point for trees located at Kauai Nursery and Landscaping in Puhi until New Year’s Eve. To find the nearest site in your area visit kauai.gov/solid waste.
