Kauai County Councilmember Billy DeCosta was anonymously threatened last week according to Council Chair Mel Rapozo. The Kauai Police Department is investigating, along with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Rapozo says a document found in the Historic County Building in Lihue was found, the contents of which were not disclosed. This has resulted in security around the building and DeCosta being ramped up. No statement has been made by either Kauai police or DeCosta.
