Federal, state, and county officials will commence the Joint Preliminary Damage Assessment process on Kauai. The county released an update on disaster assistance Friday afternoon. Officials have reminded the public to sumit their reports as the county can use the information to understand the scope of property damage and impacts to the community. KEMA will close the damage assessment portal today as officials believe the scope of impact has been captured.
