Hawaii Electric says its power lines were de-energized at the time the deadly Maui wildfire started. The utility company acknowledges that a downed power line started a fire that was caught on video in the morning, but it blames Maui firefighters for leaving the scene after describing that fire as extinguished. The fire eventually roared back to life and engulfed Lahaina.
