Nearly 18 million dollars in funding through the Grid Relience and Innovation Partnership Program will go towards two technology demonstration projects proposed by the Hawaii State Energy Office in Parternship with Kauai Island Utility Cooperative. The Utility Solar Grid Forming Technology and Synchronous Condenser Conversion Technology projects are set to begin early next year with a mid-2025 estimated completion date.
