The 5th Circuit Court is seeking applicants for independent grand jury counsel. The state Constitution establishes that whenever a grand jury is impaneled, an independent counsel shall be appointed to advise the members of the grand jury regarding matters brought before it. Compensation shall be as provided by law. Kauai Now News reports those interested in being considered for a one-year appointment should submit a resume by September 30th.
