No immediate reports of deaths and injuries in Guam after Typhoon Mawar battered the U-S territory with Category 4-level winds of 140 mph yesterday, knocking out power to much of the island and downing trees. Typhoon warnings remain in effect today (Thursday) as officials begin to survey the damage.
