The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for east-facing shores of Kauai. Officials expect a large and rough surf due to strong trade winds and other conditions to the northeast. Surf will gradually lower starting Wednesday evening as thetrades begin to ease and the northeast swell fades. 7 to 10 feet of rough surf is expected today. The high surf advisory is in effect until 6 pm Wednesday.
