A High Surf Advisory for north and west-facing shores of Kauai remains in effect. News outlets report the combination of a moderate-size, medium-period northwest and north swell both moving through the western island waters throughout the day will increase surf heights among many northern and western shores. The advisory is scheduled to remain in effect until 6 am Wednesday.
