A High Surf Warning is in effect for east-facing shores of Kauai through 6 am Thursday. The National Weather Service forecasts surf building to 10 to 15 feet. Entering the water during a high surf warning is very dangerous and could cause serious injury or death. Beachgoers should also be cautious of large breaking waves that could create a hazard for those standing on the shoreline.
