Emergency crews rescued a reported 12 hikers on Sunday on Kauai. Three hikers were rescued at Blue Hole Trail in Wailua Sunday afternoon, and another nine from the Waimea Canyon according to county officials. This prompted the county to urge the public to avoid outdoor trails during heavy rain. Kauai was hit with severe weather conditions that began Thursday. The National Weather Service issued multiple flash food watches, warnings, and advisories.
