First responders rescued an injured hiker in Koke’e on Sunday. Kauai fire personnel with the Waimea fire station and others responded to the incident. KFD received a report of an injured hiker on the Kukui Trail shortly before 12:20 pm. The 43-year-old woman from West Virginia was transported to Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital around 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
