Mayor Kawakami will proclaim the month of November as Homelessness Awareness Month in a news conference Thursday. In observance of the month, Kauai Community Alliance is hosting the fifth annual Kauai Housing Connect homeless outreach event. Today’s event is from 10 am to 1 pm at the Lihue Salvation Army, tomorrow at the Hanapepe Salvation Army from 10 to 1, and Thursday from noon to 3 pm at All Saints Church in Kapaa.
