A Kapa’a man is in the hospital after crashing his pickup truck in Lihue early Sunday morning. The 21-year-old man has not been identified publicly. Police say he was near the Kauai Department of Water when he lost control, hit a curb, and rolled over. First responders treated the man at the scene and then took him to Wilcox Medical Center in stable condition. Police say toxicology results are pending but speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
