KIUC will be shutting off power in portions of Kalaheo on Thursday, August 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for KIUC crews and tree trimming contractor Asplundh to do emergency tree trimming work in the area. Power will be shut off on Puuwai Road from above Iwi Road, including portions of Wawae and Kuli roads, Poohiwi, Kikala, Naau, Puulima roads, Ohana Aina Place, Keoki Place, Kiu Anu Place and Onu Place. Tree trimming will be performed along Puuwai, Kikala and Wawae roads.
There will be lane closures with traffic control in the work areas. Please use caution and drive slowly through the work area.
