The Department of Parks and Recreation says the area surrounding the Lydgate Campground will be closed today from 6 am to 2 pm. Officials say department staff needs to thoroughly clean and perform much-needed grounds maintenance of the facilities that normally can’t be done due the traffic in the area. The Lydgate Campground is normally closed from 10 am Tuesday to noon on Thursday so the closure won’t affect any permitted campers. Call the Parks and Recreation Department for more information.
