The public is invited to attend an online meeting of the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary advisory council next week. Kauai Now reports the sanctuary’s advisory council will meet from 8 AM to 2:30 PM Thursday, July 28th, via Google Meet. The public will have the opportunity to comment at 1 PM. Mayor Kawakami joined Department of Public Works crews Tuesday to patch a portion of Ho-one Road damaged by a historic south swell over the weekend. Roadwork was completed by Tuesday afternoon.
