The U-S Geological Survey announced Tuesday that Mauna Loa is no longer erupting. Roughly two weeks after the eruption began, the alert level has been downgraded to advisory while the aviation code is yellow. Scientists said the lava supply to the Fissure 3 vent actually stopped on Saturday. The eruption started November 27th and was contained to a largely unpopulated area.
