A suspected norovirus outbreak led to a week-long closure of the westside park on Kauai according to DLNR officials.
Officials say DLNR officers Kalalau Valley in Kauai’s Na Pali State Wilderness Park will be shutting down the area on Wednesday.
24 people who hiked the Kalalau Trail on Aug. 14 were sickened with a gastrointestinal illness.
Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
