The Kauai Police Department, in partnership with the DEA, is holding a drug take back event later this month. Police will collect unused, unwanted, or expired medications for National Drug Take Back Day on April 27th from 10 am to 2 pm at KPD headquarters in Lihue. The national initiative coordinated by the DEA focuses on providing and safe and responsible method of disposing of medications while teaching about the consequences of improper storage and disposal and the potential for abuse.
