Kauai police have released new paperless applications for firearm instructors. Existing instructors are required to electronically fill out and submit the applications online. They were reportedly created as an interim measure to implement the recent changes in the Hawaii Revised Statutes regarding firearm instructor verification. The application can be found on the KPD website. A public hearing will be held later and feedback from firearm instructors is welcome.
