A flash flood warning until 8:45 this morning for the island of Kauai. Kuhio Highway near Hanalei Bridge closed this morning due to flooding, resulting in Hanalei Elementary School closing for the day. Rainfall over northern Kauai as of about 5:30 this morning averaged an inch per hour. If flooding persists in a number of areas the warning may be extended.
