A man who allegedly assaulted a nurse at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital Emergency Room late last year was arrested on Wednesday. Police say 22-year-old Chay Ramirez allegedly made threatening remarks toward hospital staff and bit a nurse as she was attempting to administer medication on November 29th. Ramirez was arrested and released pending investigation. Findings were then submitted to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and Ramirez was re-arrested Wednesday for second-degree assault, with bail set at 25 thousand dollars.
