RED HILL FUEL PIPELINE DRAINING

The U-S military has begun draining one million gallons of fuel from three pipelines.  It’s part of an effort toward closing a World War 2 era fuel storage facility that leaked petroleum into Pearl Harbor’s tap water last year.  The pipelines run around 3 miles from the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.  Fuel is expected to move through the pipes for a total of 12 hours during the next several days.
