A High Surf Advisory for north and west-facing shores of Kauai has been extended. News outlets report the combination of a moderate-size, medium-period northwest and north swell both moving through the western island waters this week has increased surf heights to 18 to 22 feet among north-facing shores and 12 to 16 feet among west-facing shores. The advisory is now in effect until Thursday morning at 6 am.
