The Rainbow Warriors snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 44-26 win over the Utah State Aggies on Oct. 11.
Placekicker Kansei Matsuzawa earned his fourth Special Teams Player of the Week honor, tying the all-time record set by Jason Elam in 1992.
Quarterback Micah Alejado was named Freshman of the Week, and linebacker Jamih Otis earned Defensive Player of the Week.
The win improved the Rainbow Warriors’ record to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West Conference.
