Hilo International Airport continued to see delays as checkpoint screening machines remained down Tuesday. Lines were outside the building with some waiting as much as two hours before getting through TSA screening stations. The Hawaii Department of Transportation first reported the machines being down Monday night. Travelers are encouraged to arrive two hours early to ensure each step of the travel process can be completed in time for departure.
