First responders and local surfers rescued a visitor from Colorado off Kealia Beach in Kapa’a early this week. Crews responded to reports of a distressed swimmer at the north end of the beach around 6 PM Monday. The 22-year-old visitor was brought in from the water by firefighters with the assistance of local surfers and later assessed by medical personnel.
