Kari Yamashiro has been named Fifth Circuit Chief Court Administrator by the Hawaii State Judiciary after the retirement of David Lam. Yamashiro graduated from the University of Hawaii and started as a social worker in the Adult Client Services Branch, receiving numerous promotions over the years. She has been Deputy Chief Court Administrator since 2016.
