More than $144 million in capital improvement projects had been secured in the state budget bill for Kauai, The money ranges from smaller projects like $125,000 for construction and signage at the Hanapepe Chinese, Filipino and Portuguese Cemetery, to much larger projects like the $56 million for land acquisition and improvements to the terminals, systems and facilities at Lihue Airport. There are nearly two dozen projects in all.
