Officials have removed warning signs about a shark sighting at Hanalei Bay. The Kauai Safety Bureau had put out signs on Tuesday and after 24 hours without a sighting the signs were removed. Signs had been posted about a large tiger shark in the waters off Hanalei Bay at a surf spot commonly known as “the bowl” on Monday. Lifeguards still urge beachgoers to exercise caution amid hazardous surf and strong rip currents.
