Hawaii Department of Health reports increased flu activity. State health officials also continue to monitor an increase of Covid-19 cases in the state. The West Coast Health Alliance recommends a flu shot for anyone six months and older and an updated COVID 19 vaccination. In addition, anyone who is planning to get pregnant, are pregnant, or postpartum as well as health care workers and anyone working closely with those at a higher risk should vaccinate to reduce the risk of severe illness.
