The Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation held a blessing this week at Hanapepe Stadium for the Hanapepe Park Improvements Project grand opening. Kauai Now News reports the improvements will include a new multi-use building containing a ticket booth, prep kitchen, and concession area. Additional restrooms are also part of the project. The $3 million project was funded through the County of Kauai, state capital improvement funds and a federal grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund through the National Park Service.
