Water Rates Increase

Kauai Department of Water announced rate increases for general use customers, agricultural customers, and private service customers, starting November 1.  Kauai Board of Water Supply adopted the rate increases in late September.  This will be the Department of Water’s first rate adjustment since 2014.  The board says the adjustments are necessary because the current rate has not kept pace with the rising costs of operating, maintaining, and replace the water system.
