EVIDENTIARY HEARING ON YOUNG BROTHERS’ RATE CASE BEGINS SEPTEMBER 29
The Public Utilities Commission will conduct an evidentiary hearing on Young Brothers’ rate increase request from September 29 through October 3, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The hearing will broadcast live on ʻŌlelo Community Media and be streamed and recorded on the Commission’s YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/@hpuc. Accredited media outlets may obtain video footage through ʻŌlelo’s media pool.
This evidentiary hearing will include testimony from Young Brothers’ representatives and their witnesses who will respond to questions from the Commission and parties to the proceeding, including the Consumer Advocate, about Young Brothers’ rate increase request. Public testimony will not be accepted during the evidentiary hearing.
This hearing follows a series of in-person public hearings conducted statewide in April and May, 2025, where the public shared its input.
The Commission continues to welcome written public comments on Young Brother’s request. Comments should reference Docket No. 2024-0255 and may be submitted using the following methods:
