A new study reveals that Hawaii ranks as the most popular honeymoon destinations for Americans in 2025.

The study, conducted by The Resorts Collection analyzed Google search data for the 12 months between April 2024 and March 2025 across all 50 states to determine where American couples are spending their post-wedding getaways.

Hawaii’s findings

Hawaii secures the top spot with 18,004 monthly searches, establishing itself as the top destination for honeymooners drawn to its turquoise waters, lush landscapes, and world-famous beaches. It receives more than twice the search volume of the second most popular, and it is the top-ranking search in every state, except for Florida. Couples can enjoy luxury resorts, romantic luaus, and adventures from snorkeling to volcano hikes. With tropical beauty year-round, it’s the ultimate paradise escape.

Florida secures the second position with 7,503 monthly searches, establishing itself as the top mainland destination for honeymooners drawn to its year-round sunshine, diverse attractions, and affordability compared to Hawaii. Florida bucks the trend as the only state to rank at the top among its searches.

California ranks third with 3,522 monthly searches, appealing to couples seeking variety from wine country experiences to coastal drives and big city excitement.

Colorado claims fourth place with 2,717 monthly searches, standing out as the top mountain destination for couples seeking romantic alpine adventures and outdoor activities.

Alaska rounds out the top five with 2,564 monthly searches, attracting adventure-seeking couples with its wilderness experiences, wildlife viewing, and spectacular northern lights.
