Waimea Wastewater Treatment Plane reports a spill of approximately 140-thousand gallons on Friday. The spill happened due to the high flows from the heavy rains and high infiltration and inflow from the storm. The spill is believed to have reached the Kikiaola Harbor. Warning signs posted around the harbor and will remain posted until the Department of Health until the water is safe.
