Kauai Fire Department held a blessing on Wednesday for three new brush trucks and a high-water rescue vehicle in front of the county building in Lihue. The new brush trucks were purchase for more than $544-thousand to replacing old equipment. The high-water rescue vehicle was bought for more than $144-thousand. The vehicle will be used for critical emergency response during flooding events similar to the 2018 Hanalei floods.
