The Hawaii Attorney General’s Office is warning about a scam in which criminals are impersonating Anne Lopez the state’s attorney general. The scammers call to trick victims into purchasing gift cards and sending the card information to scammers. The warning is being issued because the department recently learned of an incident in which an individual received text message from someone falsely claiming to be the AG.
